Mindful reflexology is a wonderful treatment that can help support you if you are living with stress, anxiety or depression. When we become extremely stressed our bodies can sometimes loose this way of being and this is when we can experience things such as lack of sleep, feeling overwhelmed, experiencing frequent colds or illnesses, suffering with aches and pains, loss of libido, eating too much or too little food, insomnia or hypersomnia, procrasrination, develop nervous habits such as nail biting or jaw clenching.
Research has shown that reflexology can help reduce the level of the stress hormone cortisol, which will help you to feel less stressed. By having mindful reflexology you may experience some amazing effects and benefits for your body these include:

What happens during a treatment
When you arrive for your first mindful reflexology treatment it is really important for me to be able to understand why you have come along for your treatment. Our emotional and physical well being are equally important, so we will do a medical and lifestyle consultation together. This will enable me to ensure that your treatment is unique to your individual needs.
You will then get the to be able to either sit or lie back and relax on a warm couch. We will be able to use lots of blankets and cushions to be able to make you as comfortable as you want to feel. The treatment time is yours to do what you want with, some client choose to chat, whilst others like to drift off to sleep or simply take some time out. The treatment will begin with your feet being cleaned. Then we will use organic balm to be able to work the reflexes on your feet.
At the end of your treatment you will be given some time to allow yourself to come round, and have a drink if you would like one. We can then also if you wish talk about some ideas that can help support you once you have left the treatment room.
At the end of your treatment we can discuss subtle differences that you may wish to consider making to your lifestyle. These can have a positive effect on your wellbeing and may make the feelings you have at the end of your treatment last longer.
General Aftercare Advice is:
Drink Plenty of water for the next 24 hours.
Try to rest for at least an hour after your treatment.
Try to avoid stimulants such as alcohol, tobacco and caffeine for the rest of the day.
Organic Balms and Aromatherapy Blends
For your reflexology treatments I try to only use where possible organic reflexology balms and oils. I prefer not to use pre-blended products for all of my aromatherapy treatments and I love to blend for your individual needs on the day depending on what you feel you need. Aromatherapy is about so much more than the smell.
